Construction Demolition Sample Pictures
The following show examples of unacceptable construction demolition wastes with some description. In order to receive a discount for clean construction material, the load cannot have paper, cardboard, plastic wrap, household trash (including diapers), lunch materials and similar items. The construction discount applies only to shingles, lumber, sheetrock, pallets, tar paper and such like. If a small amount of contamination is present in the load, the entire load must be rejected from the construction area unless customers separate out the "contaminant". Contaminated loads will be sent to the landfill cell at the full disposal rate. If landfill personnel are detailed to clean up improperly dumped or declared loads, the additional disposal cost could increase by 150%.

Although the material is shingles and metal tin, there is also plastic wrap (also referred to as film or "kite" because it easily is windblown) and cardboard. If this load had separated the plastic, cardboard and paper, it would be considered a clean load. |

The liner material may have been acceptable into the CD pit, however the cardboard tubes would not. This load was properly declared and placed in the landfill cell. |
|
The wood and sheetrock are acceptable for a construction disposal area, however, the plastic, cardboard and other paper products are considered a contamination. This load was not acceptable for the construction area and had to be cleaned up. If the transporter had put the cardboard and other materials to the side and taken to the landfill or the baling facility, this would have been acceptable.
